Buried Agony
Here is the painting I have been working on for a while that is so important to me. I have titled it Buried Agony. It represents the battle people face with mental illness of trying to hide what they are feeling inside, afraid to share their inner pain. The house and it’s surroundings are beautiful, but that is just a facade. The emotions on the faces in the flowers tell the real story. We need to create a society where people who have mental illness feel comfortable enough to get help and don’t hide in agony. We need to make mental health a priority. We need to check on each other, even the ones who act brave and strong all the time and seem to have it all. It could save a life.
